In the Bride’s Words: The Wedding Location
The majestic location of this beautiful wedding exactly mirrored the way we feel about each other. Being the first grandson in his family, Avinash is referred and treated like royal king and I wanted to be his queen.
The Dress & Suit
Nirali was adorned in a beautiful ivory lehenga designed by the renowned Sabyasachi, complimented with a gold neck-piece, embellished earrings, a traditional Indian head accessory, and bangles. Avinash was suited up in a coordinated ivory colored Sabyasachi sherwani.
The wedding started with Avinash arriving in a royal manner on a horse amidst music, laughter and dancing. The couple exchanged garlands and completed the rituals on an outdoor pedestal draped with white and gold curtains, and decorated with beautiful flowers.
Nirali and Avinash’s evening reception, joined with friends and family, was a fun and lively event set up in the majestic hall decorated in ivory and gold.
I had been envisioning this moment for months, and to walk down that gorgeous St. Regis staircase and see it all come to life, with Avinash waiting for me at the end, was one of the most surreal and magnificent feelings.
