Top Bridal Hair Trends of Winter 2016/17
The changing of the season is an exciting time for us as trends for fashion grace our catwalks once again. It’s the perfect place to find inspiration for hair on your wedding day.
Braids once again are making a big statement on our catwalks and honestly, more please! You can go for a beautiful, simplistic side braid with a little teasing on the crown, pulling just a few strands of hair to gently frame the face or, how about an intricate woven braid like the braided chignon, it looks chic and polished. Add fresh flowers to give that whimsical look.
Relaxed updos look fresh and tres feminine. Once you’ve curled all of the hair, loosely pull back and pin, leaving a couple of strands of hair to frame the face, thus adding romance and gorgeous softness.
Tousled and Sexy
Leave tousled hair down by curling the hair with large tongs and creating a centre-parting. Or, blow dry straight with just a hint of a wave giving a lustrous and sexy look.
Twisted knots will look effortlessly chic and sleek. Try twisting and knotting at the nape of the neck making sure the hair at the crown of your head is sleeked back for that fitted tiara to sit beautifully on your head.
The Low Ponytail
The low ponytail for this season has been seen on the catwalk. A simple twisting and securing with a band will give the ‘less is more’ feel.
Ballerina Bun Elegance
With there being so many varieties to choose, the ballerina bun will always be a hit with brides. Ultra-chic, messy, elegant, double twists, the list is endless.
Fun with crimping – If you are up for a touch of fun, why not try crimping? You can be bold and crimp your hair all over, or perhaps crimp a few loose strands. Don’t forget that crimping your hair also adds volume.
The Classic Finger Wave
The beloved finger wave has been seen gracing our fashion shows. Why not sleek the hair into a classic chignon leaving just enough at the front to fingrwave. This will surly add a touch of sweetness to any bride’s look.
With so many gorgeous hair styles to choose from be sure to keep in mind the neckline of your dress, as well as the various wedding events you’ll be having so you can mix up your hairstyles!
