Umar and Myra’s beautiful wedding took place at the Wazir Mosque in Lahore. An intimate affair with friends and family, the duo tied the knot earlier in 2016.
The Nikkah Location
The minister, Wazir, built the mosque sometime in the 1600s. The mosque’s distinguishing feature, idolised by the duo, was the use of minarets at each of the four corners. The prayer hall where the main ceremony of the Nikkah took place, follows the one-aisle five-bay motif built in full expression.
Dressed in tile mosaics, the Wazir mosque is constructed tastefully in decoration with bricks.
What The Bride Wore
Myra was a photographer’s dream out of a fairytale in her Ayesha and Usman Qamar ensemble.
She wore beautiful gold jewellery with black rubies giving that ‘wow’ factor to her neutral grey ensemble.
Umar and Myra lit up their walima like magic.
The wedding organizer, Zahra Aslam, did absolute justice to the simplicity of the couple through the elegant and romantic decor.
The glory of the ceremony was covered by the team at The Wedding Stories.
Umar looked handsome in his Munib Nawaz tuxedo next to his beautiful bride.
Walima Decor & Location
The walima decor was richly embellished with frescoes exuberant to even the royals. More so, the intricate kashi-kari Persian work highlighted in the entire decor, is soothing to one’s eyes.
