Personalized to perfection, Sadia and Saheil held their vibrant mehendi party followed by a glamorous wedding and reception in Los Angeles (LA), California. From the choice of unique venues to the stunning decor, this memorable wedding brought together traditional elements in a contemporary way.
The events began with a beautiful mehendi party held in The Fig House, LA. Outside, the venue was decorated in bold tones of gold, pink and green, matching the bride’s ensemble.
Along with a gold sign featuring Sadia and Saheil’s names, a green couch where the bride and groom-to-be sat was the centerpiece of the event.
Wooden octogan tables with colourful napkins were laid out for guests; a Bengali bindi bazaar featuring bangles and mehendi cones personalized with the couple’s names were given as wedding favors, and a hookah bar was setup.
Inside the venue, tables were setup similarly to outside, a custom decal was created for the dance floor, and two beautiful wooden swings were personalized with Sadia and Saheil’s names. After the traditional ceremonies took place, the groomsmen, bridesmaids and the bride herself held dance performances for their guests.
The glamorous wedding and reception took place at the The Magestic in downtown LA.
What the Bride Wore
For the wedding, Sadia chose a white and gold gown accessorized with a gold and pearl necklace, earrings, hair accessories and bangles. Her choice of Badgley Mischka heels matched her ensemble perfectly.
What the Groom Wore
Inspired by a Kings and Queens chess theme, the venue was decorated stunningly with a white and gold chess set around where the bride and groom were seated, and gold and white chairs for guests.
The green leaf backdrop was bursting with white flowers along the top. Additionally, everything from the guest book to the napkins were personalized with the bride and groom’s names.
After the wedding, Sadia changed into a peach and gold gown with pearl jewellery, and Saheil changed into a blue tuxedo with a black lapel and bow tie. They looked gorgeous as they entered their reception together.
The decor for the reception kept with the chess theme featuring a gold and white chess style dance floor.
Circular and rectangular tables took over the venue with large green leaf centerpieces highlighted with beautiful white flowers. Gold glitter table clothes were laid over the circular tables, and the rectangular tables featured mirrored table tops.
After the speeches were made and Sadia and Saheil had cut the cake, guests hit the dance floor to dance the night away. The evening ended with the bride and groom saying goodbye as they drove away in a black Porsche.
