Nayatara and Saurabh married in a lavish wedding in Mumbai spanning over four fun-filled days. Originally meeting while studying law, the couple quickly became friends and fell in love. With a South Indian bride and a Punjabi groom, the couple brought traditions from their respective backgrounds together to host a wedding with both Nair and Arya Samaj traditions.
The festivities kicked off with a welcome/cocktail party at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The decor had a vintage romance theme in colours of red and gold, with tall candelabras and candlelight filling the venue. Long rectangular tables were set to perfection, and gorgeous drapery hung throughout the hall.
Dressed elegantly in a white and gold silk saree with a green blouse, Nayantara looked stunning. She wore her hair in a long braid over her shoulder accessorized with jasmine flowers adding that perfect elegant touch.
The evening of the mehendi party, the couple partied like rockstars with their guests. The rave style atmosphere featured a DJ, drinks and tons of dancing!
The groom’s side held a haldi ceremony for Saurabh where, along with the religious ceremony, there was fun and laughter at the groom’s expense!
The same evening the families held a joint sangeet where there were performances by the bride, groom, family and friends. Nayantara wore a pink saree while Saurabh wore a traditional Nehru collar suit. The event was decorated in tones of pink, blue and purple with hanging lanterns and crystals dripping from the ceiling.
Nayantara looked stunning for the wedding in a traditional South Indian style red and gold silk saree. With her hair in a low bun, jasmine flowers were delicately places in her hair and were dripping down her shoulders. Saurabh looked dashing in a white sherwani with a red turban.
Dripping with flowers, the wedding mandap looked like a dream. Traditional marigolds and jasmine flowers with gold details added that luxurious touch. The floral chandelier hanging in the middle of the mandap featured kaleerey and bells hanging from the ends.
After the wedding, Nayantara changed into a gorgeous gold Sabyasachi lehenga for the reception and vidaii.
