Sukriti and Ayush married in a stunning traditional Hindu ceremony in Hyderabad during a chilly winter month in India. Meeting the age-old way through an arranged marriage, the couple were surrounded by their loved ones throughout the wedding weekend. The lavishly decorated events included the mehendi, sangeet and wedding.
Taking place at the Novotel Hotel, Sukriti wore a beautiful red, white and gold lehenga complicated with pink and diamond jewellery to the mehendi party. Her natural makeup and updo was perfect for this fun event. The central decor for the event was a red dance floor covered with a white and red tent featuring stunning white floral chandeliers.
Ring Ceremony & Sangeet
The same evening was the ring ceremony and sangeet which took place outside the Chowmahalla Palace. Colorful light displays lit up the palace; the decor featured tents throughout the venue, and a main stage decorated with red and white flowers. Family and friends performed dance numbers throughout the evening.
The couple were married in a gorgeous wedding at the Falaknuma Palace. Decorated in colorful tones of red, orange, yellow and white, the palace looked like it was fit for royalty. Ayush arrived to the venue in a horse drawn carriage, later moving onto a horse for the baraat’s procession.
The bride and her family awaited Ayush’s arrival in the lavishly decorated palace dripping with flowers and crystal chandeliers. Decorated to wow, the unique golden mandap had color flower bouquets hung throughout.
Ayush wore an embroidered golden and red sherwani with a red turban, and accessorized his outfit with a green necklace. He wore a classic heavy pashmina over his shoulder rather than a simple red scarf – which added to the royal look!
After the jai mala exchange, the couple and close family headed inside the palace for the religious wedding ceremony. The mandap was decorated with a gorgeous chandelier surrounded by various flowers in shades of red, pink and white.
In the Bride’s Words
I couldn’t have found a better photographer for my wedding. Neha is easy to work with and has somehow managed to capture the most special moments from all the days. She’s fun and she is definitely not the kind of photographer who makes you pose 10 times for the same click. I loved working with her!
