The events kicked off with a beautiful cocktail party held at the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel in New Delhi. The venue was tastefully decorated to capture Deeya’s choice of having an elegant affair.
Deeya wore a beautiful blue saree while Ritchie chose a black band-galla suit for this occasion.

In the Bride’s Words: How They Met
We met in 2015 and were introduced by his best friend! Our first meeting was at Aer in Mumbai and that night set the tone for things to come, a whirlwind of a romance and many trips back and forth to London and India later, we decided to tie the knot!
His proposal was very romantic and took me totally by surprise!
‘Good Earth’ was the theme Deeya chose for her wedding day. ‘Royal Jhodpuri, yet elegant and English’ was the exact look, as summarized by the bride herself.
What the Bride Wore
Deeya wore a a custom made peach and gold lehenga on her wedding day. Designed by her sister, the bride looked absolutely stunning and was able to perfectly maintain that royal look she wanted.
What the Groom Wore
Ritchie wore an elegant gold sherwani to the wedding complimented with a gold and white turban, and pink turban brooch.
The Wedding Decor
Red, gold and pink featured at the main colours of the wedding decor. Staying in tune with Deeya’s choice of a royal Jodhpuri theme, large umbrellas covered tables, hundreds of gold bells hung off of trees around the venue, and the floral mandap was surrounded with pretty pink and gold chairs.
