Singer, Benny Dayal married long-time girlfriend, model-actress Catherine Thangam in intimate Hindu and Christian wedding ceremonies in Bangalore.
The events began with a Moroccan themed mehendi party.
Using rich tones of gold, pink, blue and yellow, this vibrant party featured beautiful moroccan lighting and fairy lights.

Instead of holding a reception after the wedding, the couple went for a pre-wedding cocktail night where Catherine and Benny cut their wedding cake, had their first dance and had the father-daughter dance.
Black and red took over the ballroom for the cocktail party. From gorgeous floral bouquets made of roses, to high candelabras, black draping, and a black cake – this party had that dramatic look that the couple were going for.
Incorporating a ‘Kerala Vintage’ theme into the wedding day, the ceremonies were held outdoor at the Temple Tree Hotel in Bangalore.
What the Bride Wore
With a classic updo and beautiful white jasmine flowers in her hair, Catherine chose a beautiful heavily embroidered pale pink Sabyasachi saree for her wedding day. She looked stunning with gold earrings and hand accessories as she was walked down the aisle with her father.

As Benny is of Malyali origin, and Catherine is Syrian Christian, the wedding was a fusion of two traditions, a beautiful south Indian Hindu ceremony, and a Syrian Christian wedding.
The couple held their Christian wedding ceremony right after their Hindu ceremony in order to incorporate both of their backgrounds and religions into the wedding. The alter was erected next to the mandap, creating a beautiful fusion of cultures.
In the Photographer’s Words: The Couple
Singer Benny Dayal and model-actress Catherine Thangam’s wedding in Bangalore was possibly the most down to earth celebrity wedding one can imagine. Not that I covered so many celebrity weddings, but we all have our preconceptions, and so did I. However, I must say I was pleasantly surprised to meet Benny and Cathy, and see how chilled out they both are about life, and about this hush-hush wedding, attended mostly by close friends and family.
