Arvir and Vinny tied the knot in a beautiful Indian wedding in Toronto. Beginning with a Sikh wedding at a gurdwara, the couple held on to well-known Punjabi wedding traditions throughout the various events.
What the Bride Wore
Arvir stole the show with a gorgeous deep green gown with gold embroidery for her wedding ceremony. She looked ravishing and channeled Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit through her stunning hair and makeup.
Arvir accessorized her couture with elegant gold jewellery and red bangles adding the perfect contrast to her outfit. Her dupatta featured a blue and red border, creating a beautiful frame around her face.
What the Groom Wore
Arvir wore a handome gold, heavily embroidered sherwani for the wedding ceremony, with a red turban and scarf.
He layered pearl necklaces over the outfit, with a pearl sehra completing the look to give that elegant and royal touch.
After the wedding, the newlyweds held a gorgeous outdoor wedding photoshoot with the colours of their chosen wedding attire contrasting beautifully against the natural background.
The bridal party was also able to get ahold of the groom’s shoes during this time, taking part in the much loved tradition of joota chupai! These shoes were taken back to the bride’s home where the vidai took place and where Vinny was able to get his shoes back after payment to the bridesmaids was made.
After the photoshoot completed, the bride went back to her parent’s home to complete the final tradition of the vidai. Vinny arrived with his family to bring the bride back to her new marital home.
Emotions ran strong as Arvir said goodbye to her family, and her husband and new family brought her to her new home.
Arvir and Vinny’s reception party was beautifully decorated with white florals with pops of pink, purple and orange; white drapes covered the room with suspended chandeliers.
