Former England footballer, Frank Lampard and television presenter, Christine Bleakley tied the knot last week in a lavish and romantic ceremony in London.
After announcing their engagement in 2011, fans of the couple were kept guessing over when the couple would finally walk down the aisle.
The two opted for an intimate wedding surrounded by close family and friends from the football and entertainment communities. The star-studded ceremony took place at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, which saw the bride dressed in a stunning Suzanne Neville, lace-trimmed fitted wedding gown. Christine was a vision, opting for classic hair and makeup, and complementing the look with a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings. Groom-Frank, looked equally dashing in his Thom Sweeney tuxedo suit.
The entry to the church was beautifully decorated with clusters of pink and white roses making for the perfect backdrop for the couple’s photographs as they exited the ceremony service. The breathtaking floral arch was courtesy of Rob Van Helden, who in the past has worked with Elton John during his wedding.
Celebrations concluded at the exclusive Arts Club in Mayfair, once again amongst a host of celebrities including pop star Ed Sheeran, who surprised guests by turning wedding singer on the night.
Frank and Christine were visibly happy and couldn’t contain their excitement throughout their wedding festivities. This truly was a magical and fairytale wedding for the couple with Christine later tweeting about it on social media, asking the question, “How many days can you celebrate getting married before it becomes inappropriate?!” The answer is never, Christine!
